# Plans and desk minutes

> What a desk minute is, what each plan includes, and the daily stop that keeps a runaway agent from using up your month.

Billing is not live yet: nothing is charged.

## Desk minutes

Desk time counts in desk minutes. A desk minute is one minute of standard Linux. Other machines count more for each minute they are awake:

```bars
Standard Linux: 1 desk minute a minute
Large Linux: 2.5 desk minutes a minute
Windows: 3 desk minutes a minute
```

Windows counts 3x and the large desk 2.5x: a desk minute is a minute of standard Linux. A sleeping machine counts nothing. The Mac has Mac minutes of its own: one minute of a Mac job.

## Plans

| Plan | Price | What it includes |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Starter | $9 a month | 2,400 desk minutes a month (40 desk hours). No Mac. Daily stop: 480 desk minutes. |
| Basic | $39 a month | 9,600 desk minutes a month (160 desk hours). 90 Mac minutes a month. Daily stop: 1,920 desk minutes. |
| Pro | $99 a month | 24,000 desk minutes a month (400 desk hours). 240 Mac minutes a month. Daily stop: 4,800 desk minutes. |

Past a plan, prepaid packs ($20, $50, $100) at the prices in the table. No account has a plan yet. The exact numbers are at [/v1/prices](https://maindesk.smaverk.com/v1/prices), with no key needed.

## The daily stop

The daily stop is how many desk minutes of Linux and Windows an account can use in one day: 1,500 desk minutes. It resets at 00:00 UTC. Mac minutes are separate.

```flow
Machines are awake → Desk minutes add up → Daily stop reached → Machines sleep, files kept → 00:00 UTC: the count starts again
```

When the daily stop is reached, the machines sleep and you get a notice. Running jobs stop with them; files are kept.

An account an agent makes is a trial until its human claims it (the claim link): Linux only, 150 desk minutes a day. Claiming opens Windows, the Mac and the full 1,500 desk minutes a day.

## Where you see it

- Every answer ends with a `[cost]` line: the machine's desk minutes, and today's against the daily stop.
- The foot of the sidebar shows today's desk minutes.
- **Settings**, **Desk** shows this month, today, the last two weeks and the Mac minutes.

## Task limits

Each task also has a time limit and a desk minutes limit. When a task reaches one it stops and waits for you; raise it on the task's page. An OpenCode task on an LLM Gateway key also has an AI usage limit in dollars: that is your own AI account's money, not desk time.
